Creative Colors Challenge#22

Welcome back!
This Tuesday its time for Creative Colors Challenge#22 sponsored by Doodle Pantry Digital Doodles.

For this round we challenge you to use atleast three spool colors shown in the inspiration picture & lace in your card. Remember this is a card only challenge.

Pick 3 colors from the Spools PLUS use Lace.
My daughter loves dream catchers & when I saw this digi by Doodle Pantry I knew I wanted to make a card for her!

Played around with distress ink, stamps & stencils to make the several layers of the background. The fussy cut digi is colored with distress markers. I love the sentiment - Dream a little dream!

Altered Spoon

Hello friends, welcome back, hope you all had a happy & joyous diwali. Best wishes!
Another altered project today! Didn't I tell you I was on a roll altering items!
Any guesses what has been transformed here?

Played around with gesso, acrylic paint & LSG spray to transform a soup spoon into a beautiful piece of decor for the kitchen!

The gorgeous blooms are handmade (Joy Craft die cut flowers)  & so is the nest beneath the metal nest charm.

Some dangling charms a tea pot & spoon..................perfect for the altered spoon!

Altered Book Box

Welcome back friends!
Another altered project today - a book box, the first one I made.
When I selected the DCWV Mariposa pattern paper for this box I was totally lost with regards to the embellishments that will go along with this!!!But I challenged myself! And the result............I think is totally adorable!

To highlight the chipboard laser cut from Itsy Bitsy I used white UTEE over it. This also added some dimension to make it stand out amongst the flowers. Used a large vintage key along with some dangling charms as a faux knob.

This is the spine of the book - colored the ornate chipboard letter with marker & embossed using clear EP.

Double Pocket Card

Hello friends & thank you for visiting me again. :-)
Over the past few days I have altered a couple of items & will share these soon. I have already posted a set of drawers here.
Today I have a double pocket card. You can find the tutorial for this card on the SCORPAL blog & a similar card I made here. I love adding tags to my cards, a fun way to add messages. The pattern paper is from the Lost & Found stack (My Mind's Eye) layered over a navy blue card base. I loved the busy pattern on the paper & decided to keep the embellishments minimal...............chipboard elements & a handmade flower.

This gorgeous bloom was made using Heartfelt Creations - Striped Sun Kissed Fleur stamp & co-ordinating SB die & distress inks -

These are the four tags -

And one more glue to the inside -

I truly loved the bright yet subtle look of this card. Would love to know if you too feel the same!!!

This card is linked to the following challenges -
Avenue613 #92 (11/10)
Crafty Calendar Challenge - bingo (flowers, sentiment, blue) (31/10)
