Creative Ways to Use the Coloring Book Pages

Good Morning!
Adult coloring books are trending internationally because they are extremely therapeutic and can help generate wellness, quietness & mindfulness. In fact the benefits of color therapy are similar to the benefits of meditation.
I thoroughly enjoy coloring & exploring different media to color. Today I am sharing some creative ways to use the finished  coloring book pages.
1. Frame it & use it as wall decor
2. Wrap a gift or make an envelope or even a bow or a tag or a bag or die cut & decorate your gift wrap.
3. Make a bookmark or a bag tag or a keychain. Here's a bookmark I made after coloring the geometrical pattern of an adult coloring book from ITSY BITSY. They have a series of Color Yoga books, coloring cards & bookmarks too, which are so easy on the pocket. Also these are single sided prints making it easy to use with markers, copics, brush pens......almost anything.

4. I used another page to make a card.
I wanted to tone down the bright colors & overlaid the colored panel with vellum & heat embossed the sentiment.

5. I love decoupage & here is a coaster I made from a finished page! Now isn't that cool! If you want a set, photocopy the page or scan & use the laser print!

6. Similarly you can scan & try a image transfer on a bag! The possibilities are endless.

How do you use your finished pages? Would love some more ideas!

Enjoy - Altenew Persian Motifs

Good Morning!
Welcome to my blog!
Sharing a stamped card today which is a part of The Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge by Kathy. She is an inspiration & its always fun to join her month long coloring challenge!

For this card I have used Altenew Persian Motifs stamp & colored the background using the limited copics I have in my stash!

Altenew - Persian Motifs

For the sentiment I die cut "Enjoy" on the stamped panel & also from black card stock (3 pieces) & glue them all together.
I stamped "its your birthday" inside the card.

Decoupage - Wine bottle holder

Hello Friends!
Sharing another decoupage project today, a wine bottle holder. This was a result of some experimentation & I call it the double decoupage technique. I had a beautiful pattern paper with wine bottles in my stash & also a tissue napkin with bottle. Selecting either one was difficult & finally I used both in the project! A happy me!
To begin I primed the base with gesso followed by a generous coat of acrylic paint & let dry.
I adhered the pattern paper to the front of the holder using mod podge.  The wine bottle & glass motif  on the tissue were carefully cut & glued over the pattern paper (which sort of formed the background now). Take a closer look at the image below & you will see both the images!

Another reason why this is a double technique is the two types of crackle textures - the finer one was attained with a crackle medium & the larger bold are by stamping. Some more works with crackle texture can be seen in this laptop table here, a tray here & a chopping board here.

Had a lot of fun experimenting here! Would love to know your thoughts!

Mini album - I AM

Happy Friday & welcome here again!
Its been a while since I shared a mini album here! I have made many & will share these soon!
This is a trifold mini I made for my daughter. If you love pattern papers like I do (never can have enough!!!) you will enjoy this mini. I have combined papers mainly from 'My Minds Eye - I am' stack & 'Crate Paper - Style Board' by Maggie Holmes
Left the chipboard cover rather simple  & made a belly band closure. This mini measures - 8x41/4"

Both the left & the right sides have pockets for several tags.

The central panel has a waterfall insert & love the coordinated papers I used here!
