Mocha Happy!

Hello & welcome back!
Its the last day of the Summer's Coffee Lover's Blog Hop &
I managed to brew another card while sipping my cuppa BRU (my fav coffee!)

For this card I first created a MOCHA patch in the card base, using vintage photo distress oxide & gold alcohol splash splatters. I then spritzed some water for added texture. Loved the gold shimmer of the alcohol splash. The image from Newton's Nook is colored with copics & sentiment is from Altenew. To finish the card I added a few coffee stains & this sort of brought the layout together!

I like to use gold alcohol splash in my cards because the gold kind of resists layers over it! A closer look at this image & you will understand what I mean!

Coffee Love

Hello & welcome back!
Its time for the Summer's Coffee Lover's Blog Hop & how can a coffee loving card maker like me resist participating!

Let me share with you the card I made for today -

For this card I have created the background with first & second generation stamping with archival ink. I wanted to keep this card simple & yet add dimension. Pulled out the faux stitched rectangle dies & the coffee cup silhouette CUTploration. The focal cup shape was popped up by stacking 4 layers of the die cut & the smaller pieces inlaid in the centre.

The inside (sorry, I forgot to click a picture) has a heat embossed sentiment which says "I love coffee & you"

Cards - Rinea foil

Hello Friends!
Today I am at the RINEA blog with these two cards.
The first one is a simple word shaker card. For the front card base I have used Glossy Ruby/Gold from the Jewels Foiled Paper Variety Pack

I love the glossy ruby foil peeking in the shaker window! Simple but an absolute classy card!

The second card is in one of my favorite white & silver combo. For this card I die cut a large butterfly in the front panel of the card base. Used  Silver/Silver Glossy Foiled Paper on the backside to cover the window. Also die cut some smaller butterflies to add some dimension. Rinea foil cuts so easily with any standard die. The sentiment is heat embossed.

I also embossed the die cut to pop the wings.

Cards with Rinea Foil

Sharing a card tutorial today, which is my first post as DT member for Rinea Foil. I am thrilled to work with this awesome foil paper!

To begin I selected a flower die from Sizzix to cut into a black panel.
I also diecut flowers using Rinea foil sapphire/gold & silver/gold

I wanted to use the inlaid die cut technique, so after running it through the die cutting machine I used washi tape on the underside of the die cut flower to hold all the smaller die cuts in place.
Next I carefully lifted the black die cut flower from the panel (the washi tape held all the inner small pieces in position) & replaced it with the blue die cut flower.
Placed the other foil flowers around to work on the layout

Glued some flowers around the focal inlaid flower.

The sentiment was heat embossed in gold.
Here is a look at the finished card -

I love the dimension of the smaller flowers.

Remember to follow the blog for loads of inspiration from my fellow DTs!

Cards - Gold Alcohol Splash

Hello friends!
So glad you visited me today, as I share some cards!
The background for all these was created in a jiffy using Itsy Bitsy Gold alcohol splash (hop here to know more about these).

For this card a few puffs of pink punch, wild rose & purple haze was all that was needed to created a gorgeous background with the most gorgeous gold shimmer! Used bird dies & made it into a shaker card!

For my second card, I sprayed a scrap piece of white card stock with golden soot & then die cut the flowers & leaves! The sentiment a set by Simon Says Stamp

This layout is perfect for the current PCC#247-sketch-challenge/ - 13.6

In this next card the dream catcher is heat embossed over the shimmery background!

The shimmer is a treat to the eyes!

The last one is my favorite of the lot & this one is gorgeous in real! Here's how I made this card - * *Create the background with pink punch & wild rose
*Next stamp the image (          ) with versamark ink & clear emboss with clear superfine powder
*Rub the black soot distress inkpad directly over the panel now. The heat embossed flowers resisit the distress ink & to pop the the gorgeous pink flowers & gold shimmer wipe gently over the image with baby wipe.
