MDF Decoupage Panel

Hello!
Decoupage is such a versatile art & if you have been following my work you know how passionate I am about this art form. Over the years I have tried a number of techniques & am always looking out for papers & patterns. Today's post is another such experiment, more about it in a bit, first let me share the wall decor panel first -

This watercolor design I have used today is the print of an actual painting done by a talented friend Charu! She is an amazing artist, hop over to her page here! When Charu asked me whether I would like to use her painting for decoupage I was so excited! Thank you dear & hope I have done justice to your work.

Some more close ups of the panel -

Blending the colors  to match the water color background was difficult, but I loved the result.

Along the sides & bottom are tiny cracks.

The quote is stencilled by mixing black acrylic paint & impasto.

DIY T-light holder

Hello & welcome here again!
This is Tanvi, sharing my inspiration for Rinea with Floracraft foam square, a quick & easy DIY  LED T-light holder.

Using a craft knife carefully sculpt a round on one side of the cube, the size of the LED T light. It is easy peasy to do this.

Next cut 5 pieces of 3x3" from the glossy gold foil from the metallics variety pack. I used mod podge to glue these onto the cube. Leave it for a few hours to cure.

I used a very intricate rose die & die cut four pieces from  Glossy Copper/Copper. Use these to decorate the prepared cube & the holder is ready! I used liquid enamel accents along the edges.

Here is the completed project -

Hello Friends!

This week I am Guest Designing for the Crafting by Designs blog for their July Challenge - Anything Goes.

Hope you all like it!

The ornate chipboard letters are sprayed with gold alcohol splash
