Another Altered Project

Hello All!!

The theme for this months challenge at ITSY BITSY is to use White on White with a sparkle of silver.

Personally I adore this duo, very soothing,  divine & royal.......but was unable to create magic with it.

I had reluctantly given up on the challenge until yesterday when I started with a Celebration Chocolates Jar (both my daughters love chocolates & I the boxes!!!).......

.............................& ended with this.......................pristine & sparkling, isn't it????

The jar is covered with a layer of parchment & a rectangle doily.

The white blooms are handmade from scallop circle die cuts. For this flower I have used alternate layers of printed handmade paper & parchment paper. Embellished with a few more & my favorite fringed flowers. The leaves are punched & butterfly diecut (Itsy Bitsy Butterfly trio thin cuts).

A closer look at the lid..................

One of flower is made with printed handmade paper & the other with parchment paper.

The sides of the lid are decorated with a doily & a fabric ribbon.

A look at the gorgeous fabric bow!! The fabric is from my daughter's costume, the pearl string is a RAK from Yvonne.

When I showed this to my hubby......................he exclaimed is this a bride!!!

Stamping on Candles

Hello friends,

Very excited to share the results of my trials to stamp on candles, this was my very first attempt & the outcome is so encouraging that I am definitely trying my hands at this again! Hope you like them too.

Some tea light candles, stamped & decorated with washi tapes. 

This candle was first colored with alcohol inks...........the butterfly is heat embossed.

There are plenty of tutorials available for stamping on candles but I will make a step wise tutorial & post it soon.

Altered Tissue Box

Hi All,

The challenge this month at Crafters Corner is a recipe challenge along with this photo inspiration.

These pastel shades were perfect for me to alter a MDF tissue box which I have been hoarding for sometime now. What do you think of the transformation????? Does it not have a very shabby chic look?

Instead of using a single color I have covered all the four sides in a combination of PP & plain color.

 

This is one of the corners................

Take another look at the gorgeous embellishments used.

Followed the ‘recipe’ given below.

1. One die cut/Punch: the picket fence, bird, leaves, corners

2. Two different pattern papers: blue PP & green used for the fence

3. Three embellishments: flowers, pearls, chipboard flourish, lace, rub on stickers (black flowers), wooden flower charm.

4. A sprinkle of glitter:blue glitter, pink flower

Triple Stamping Technique

Hello all, back again to share the first triple stamped card I made using the water color technique.
The water color paper was first spritzed with water, dabbed with tissue to leave it just moist & stamped, take a look.........................

A Thrifty Card

Good Morning!!

A fresh new challenge has already been announced at CATCHY CHALLENGES - THE THRIFTY CRAFTER. This is my DT inspiration for the challenge.

The challenge is to make a card in a meagre budget of Rs.25!!! It was a difficult task but not impossible.
