Hello friends & thanks for dropping by again.
Lulupu has a very interesting challenge this month - Try Something New. I love to experiment with new techniques & did not want to miss it............so here I am to share my first try at tea bag folding. This art, also known as miniature kaleidoscopic origami, consists of folding little squares of decorative paper called tiles in a specific pattern and arranging the folded pieces to form a more-or-less round motif or medallion. However, to me it is more of maths & symmetry than craft!! Enough of my gyan!!! Let me show you the card now -
I had a tough time & after several failed attempts & finally succeeded in making this beauty. I chose a coordinating pattern paper from a new stack (Pink Paislee - Color Wash). I was spellbound with the symmetry of folds & pattern, never knew this art was so astonishing. Thanks to Lulupu I was motivated to try this(had the tiles in my stash for almost 2 years).
