DIY Mason Jar Tissue Holder

Hello, I am at the Rinea Blog today with a gorgeous makeover of the good old mason jar. I have upcycled it for use as a tissue holder.

The foil cuts like butter with all dies!
For this project I have used blush gold foil from the jewel variety pack,  I can't get my eyes off this adorable combination of black & blush gold foil!

Table Placemats

Hello & welcome back!

A while ago Sunanda, owner of Ullas Herbals aapproached to salvage these table placemats 😊

I was excited to revive these & give them a new life with DECOUPAGE.  Little did I know the back breaking task ahead! Hours of sanding to smoothen the surface & the corkboard base!
To refurbish them Sunanda sent me some serene pictures captured by her.

Here is the outcome, so totally worth every minute I spent making these NEW placemats.

Since she planned to use these daily we decided to coat the surface with resin & protect the table mats from day to day wear & tear. Absolutely loved the outcome - a faux glass look.

Mason Jar Shaped Chalkboard

Hello!

Welcome to another post in which I have used Rinea Foiled Paper to make a mason jar shaped chalkboard for the kitchen. Here are the pictures  -

Mason Jar Chalkboard with Rinea Foiled Paper

To decorate this piece I embossed some Glossy Ruby/Gold Foiled Paper using an embossing folder & loved the result............ isn't the texture amazing!!! Added some flowers & burlap lace to bring it all together, and this chalkboard is perfect for daily reminders!

Happy Crafting!

Texture Triangles

Hello Friends!
This is Tanvi with another brilliant product from Itsy Bitsy - the TEXTURE TRIANGLES

Texture triangle is an awesome tool to use for adding various texture effects to your mixed media projects. Creating horizontal, vertical, chequered, zigzag fan criss cross or other patterns of your choice is so easy with these texture triangles.

This is a three-sided tool & available in two variants.
One triangle helps create fine lines & the other is useful for stripes & bands, each side of the triangle has different sized teeth, allowing you more variations when combing. Must have tool for mixed media artists.

The possibilities of creating patterns with these is endless. For my experiments I mixed acrylic paint with impasto & played around with these triangles. Look at the array of pattern I created -

I love textures & patterns and these tools are perfect for adding quick dimensions & interest to projects. I am no mixed media expert but after playing around with these tools I wanted to give it a try, sharing my attempt at this -

This is a 4x4 Mont Marte canvas panel. Using the texture triangle over modelling paste I created the desired base for the mixed media. I used an old brush as a flower vase, chipboard shapes, some flowers & twine to make a layout. After which the entire layout was gessoed. For the bright colors I chose gold alcohol splash -  wild rose, hot pink & marigold

To highlight the textures I lightly brushed gold at places & that popped the layout

Just look at the awesome canvas loaded with textures!
