Another Exploding Box

Good Morning Friends.
After seeing the exploding box I made for my niece, my daughter wanted me to make the same for her friend who is leaving India soon for higher studies. I had only a few hours to make this one..............could not even click any pictures!!! All the pics here are courtesy the birthday girl herself. Thank you Harshita for sharing these.

Take a look......

The cake is actually a battery operated tea light covered with washi tape. Though its not very clear over here the flame is a flickering lamp...............looks amazing in real. Wish I had more pictures to show :-(

Exploding Box Card

Hello friends!!!

My niece recently celebrated her 18th birthday & I made this cute exploding box card for her (referred to this tutorial). The pictures say all about this...............

the top....

the side..............

Lift the lid & the sides fall open to reveal a three tiered cake & also a banner with her name.

Treat yourself to a few more pics of the cake...............I simply loved this part of the box the best!!

A few tags along the side panels...........

I thoroughly enjoyed using loads of supplies making this for her & she loved it too!!

Wedding Card with an aperture

Hi friends,
Have a look at this card I made for the current ITSY BITSY challenge. As you can see its a simple aperture card. The hand cut cake is glued to the inside of the card & peeps out through the aperture. I have layered the inside of the card with printed vellum.

A closer look at the cake

The front of the card was embossed with the ITSY BITSY  Love hearts embossing folder. I just love their embossing folders…………….the effect is so outstanding! Take a closer look

Am also linking this to the following challenges –

Supplies used -
CS, handmade paper, embossing folder - ITSY BITSY
Sentiment, border sticker - PIE LANE
Flat pearls - Color Conceptions
Flowers - punched with paper from my own stash
Vellum - local buy

Thanks for taking time to visit & would love hear from you.
