Coffee Lovers Spring Summer Bloghop - Card 1

Hello Friends!
A quick card share today to participate in the Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

For this card, I first used alcohol inks to make a background on Yupo paper. Next, I die cut the coffee cup & stamp the sentiment (Newton's Nook) with alcohol lift ink. Stamped a few coffee stains on a pattern paper & mounted the coffee cup with foam squares.

Decoupage Coffee Table

Hello Everyone! This post is a very special one in which I bring together my love for coffee & decoupage! This is a picture heavy post, stay with me through the end & am sure who will not be disappointed.
Hubby recently replaced his car tyres. I was looking forward to put them to good use & what can be better than a coffee table for my terrace garden. Since this will be outdoors I reverse decoupaged the glass top, with the BobNBetty Roseate decopatch papers that came in my DT kit.

I selected some elements from this paper & fussy cut them, decided the layout & glued them (right side facing down) on the under side of the glass with Mod Podge Matte, followed this by another layer of decoupage – this time a newspaper print gift wrapping paper from my stash. The squeezee tool is a boon when decoupaging large surfaces like these to get rid of all the air bubbles & creases.

I love experimenting with reverse decoupage as it allows me to get two different looks on the same item (like this bottle I shared here).
This is the other side of the glass top, so perfect for a coffee lover in me!
Loving the newsprint peeking beneath this perfect coffee cup, the stamping and stenciling on & around the cup.
Loads of my coffee stamps (Tim Holtz – Fresh Brewed) were inked & I loved the outcome!

Mocha Happy!

Hello & welcome back!
Its the last day of the Summer's Coffee Lover's Blog Hop &
I managed to brew another card while sipping my cuppa BRU (my fav coffee!)

For this card I first created a MOCHA patch in the card base, using vintage photo distress oxide & gold alcohol splash splatters. I then spritzed some water for added texture. Loved the gold shimmer of the alcohol splash. The image from Newton's Nook is colored with copics & sentiment is from Altenew. To finish the card I added a few coffee stains & this sort of brought the layout together!

I like to use gold alcohol splash in my cards because the gold kind of resists layers over it! A closer look at this image & you will understand what I mean!

Coffee Love

Hello & welcome back!
Its time for the Summer's Coffee Lover's Blog Hop & how can a coffee loving card maker like me resist participating!

Let me share with you the card I made for today -

For this card I have created the background with first & second generation stamping with archival ink. I wanted to keep this card simple & yet add dimension. Pulled out the faux stitched rectangle dies & the coffee cup silhouette CUTploration. The focal cup shape was popped up by stacking 4 layers of the die cut & the smaller pieces inlaid in the centre.

The inside (sorry, I forgot to click a picture) has a heat embossed sentiment which says "I love coffee & you"

Decoupage Kitchen Caddy & Coasters

A quick post to share some decoupage work!
I have used chalk paints & the same tissue in both the projects & loved how each has a different look.
First is a kitchen caddy painted with chalk paint (Prima - antique pink) & decoupaged with these yummy cupcake paper napkins.

Next is a set of coasters painted with chalk paints, a very soft pink (pink ballet) from Itsy Bitsy. This time I carefully fussy cut the cupcake images on the napkin & decoupaged these in one corner of all the six coasters. Stamped my new coffee image from Stamplorations, making sure I overlap a bit on the cupcake image. I loved the contrasting black & white stamped image & the colorful cupcake image.

This is a fridge magnet I shared in my previous post here, again using the same paper napkin!

Stamplorations - I LOVE COFFEE

Hello Friends!
Sharing a card I made using the January sketch at Stamplorations

To make this one layer card I first masked a rectangle on the card panel & stenciled over the masked area following the layout in the sketch. I then stamped the coffee cup ( Coffee Happy Set)  & colored it with Zig Real Brush pens. The sentiment is one single stamp, so a masked a part of the sentiment & stamped as desired.
