Plaid Background - Birthday Card

Good Morning!

Popping by to share a fun card with a stamped plaid background (Mudra Stamps - Play with lines), inks used - Simon Says Stamp). The adorable sentiment is a Studio G stamp from Itsy Bitsy.

For this card I wanted the background to pop through the bold OMG in the sentiment. For this I heat embossed the stamped sentiment on vellum & colored the letters with the Chameleon pens & overlaid the vellum panel on the plaid background. This not only muted the background but created a faux plaid effect in the letters too! Awesome!

Guest Designer @Stamplorations

Hi friends!

Sharing a tag I made as Guest Designer for Stamplorations. This card was selected a top pick at the January Challenge. Stamplorations has an amazing collection of stamps & stencils.

This month the theme is - 

And this is the sketch.

This is the tag I made -

For the background I used gelatos & randomly stenciled whipped spackle for some texture & added holograhic embossing powder over this for some shimmer. The highlight of the tag is a bold stamped sentiment. However, after coloring (with peerless watercolors) the beautiful digi that Shery sent me I decided to mute the stamped sentiment. So I tore a piece of vellum & glued it over this. Made some score lines on the vellum & added color to the distressed edge for added texture.

I am rather active in Kathy Rac's Daily Marker Challenge this time around & share my coloring on Instagram here. For day 28 I heat embossed some W&W flowers in gold & colored them on the wrong side with gelatos (lemon & tangarine) - refer to the image below.

Water Colored Floral Background

Happy Monday Friends!

Its a card share today with a water colored floral background for the Winnie & Walter 2nd birthday bash.

 For the background I stamped the flowers & the leaves (Winnie & Walter - The big, the bold & the happy) using color box scarlet & lime inks & heat embossed them using Rangers Holographic embossing powder..........the result was divine! 

Used my current fav water coloring medium - Peerless Watercolors to color the stamped images.

The floral background was glued over black card stock, one edge of which was also heat embossed.

Here's a closer look at the coloring & the gorgeous holographic embossing. The sentiment is also a Winnie & Walter stamp (The big, the bold & the extras). I also stamped the images on vellum using color box ink & heat embossed these.

Anniversary Card with Vellum flowers

Good Morning! 

Second post today to share the card I made for the current challenge at Lulupu Challenge#53. You can find all the details about the challenge in my post here.

My card base is black & the diagonal stripes were created with a MFT stencil & Inkagold Silver. The Inspired by Stamping blooms were heat embossed in silver on vellum & then fussy cut.

Over the blooms I have added shimmer with my favorite - clear Wink of Stella brush pen! This is a must have for all card makers, especially if you are one like me who likes just a subtle shimmery look. Just look at the effect.......even fantastic in real!

CCB - Valentine Day Card

Hello friends.......this is my first project share as a part of the Creative Crew 2015 at Canvas Corp Brands which includes Canvas Home Basics, 7 Gypsies & Tattered Angels.I am overwhelmed to be a part of this huge team of talented crafters!

The team was challenged to make a Valentine Day card using the CCB card that was sent in the DT kit. This is a tall slender card measuring 4X9 inches when folded.

I used a beautiful heart print vellum to layer over the card & make a CAS card.

The sentiment was die cut in white CS & sprayed with glimmer mist Red Chillies, the little heart from "O" of love found its place in the polaroid frame......................love captures the heart!!!

Craft Your Passion#241

Hi everyone!  I'm back with my weekly DT project for Craft Your Passion.  

This challenge theme is "Baby, It's Cold Outside"

For my card I have used this beautiful winter landscape digi by the sponsors "Delicious Doodles" used Faber Castell color pencils to subtly highlight the Christmas trees, the robin & the houses. The snowy scene suddenly came to life, perfect just as I wanted!!!

My card base is red over which I have overlaid vellum which had a green Christmas print. I like the red popping in the green background. Matted the digi over the same red card stock & popped it with foam tape on the vellum base. A red shimmery bow added to the festive feel!

Also added shimmer to all the trees with my favorite Wink of Stella & some distress stickles to the baubles to finish my card. The star

Hi! It's Tuesday and that means a new challenge at Creative Colors Challenges. Our theme this week is to use 4 color sachets from the pic below PLUS a small envelop on your card.Our sponsor is the wonderful Aurora Wings. Their characters are so fun!

I loved the ombre paper, so perfect for our palette!

Craft Your Passion#239

Hello and welcome to Craft Your Passion#239.

WOW, can you believe it is November already? Well, its already time for winter & fun in the snow. Yes you guessed it right todays card is all about snow.

  So, without further ado let me show you my card - 

The adorable image & sentiment is by Diane's Daydream Designs our sponsors for this week. Our challenge for this round is to use elements with B's in your creations. I have used baby, ball, button brad, bow, blue. I had a beautiful snowflake vellum in my stash & wanted to use it on this card. I also wanted to retain the snowfall background of the digi (take a look at the snow under the vellum). I printed two copies of the colored image. Fussy cut the girl & the tub & pieced it over the image with foam tape & I was done! Loved the background & the dimensional look of the image.
