Ornate Tags

Hello lovely friends........hope you all had a great Diwali.
Sometime back I had participated is the swap organised by Swap Central India, where we were required to make three ornate tags. Sharing all these with you today.
In the first one I have created many layers using stamps, PP, diecuts..............

The second one is monochromatic & I created a pocket using vellum which holds a small bookmark......

Attempted a bit of parchment in this too.

The last one too has loads of layers & the pattern paper that you see is actually the packing of some Itsy Bitsy embellishments........

Used the CW template & texture paste for the birds

Pallavi was my partner in this swap & I hope she liked them.

Vintage Double Slider Box

Hello Lovely People!!
I recently participated in a swap where we had to make a handmade box with a co-ordinating tag. I followed the tutorial here to make a double slider box in vintage style.

This bloom is handmade using the tutorial that Rajni shared with us.

The lids of the box slide open like so -

Halloween Card - Bendi Fold

Today I am sharing a card with a very unique fold which I had come across on Splitcoaststampers where they also have a tutorial. I wanted to try this fold & with halloween approaching it was my daughter's suggestion to make one with this theme.

Lots of pattern paper, die cuts, distressing went into the making of this card -

These two panels swing open -

This is how the card looks when open -

The bat & the cat are rub-ons & the spider webs are hand drawn. I loved the use of the die cut against an embossed & distressed kraft card stock.

The moon again is fussy cut from another pattern paper.

All these potion bottles are fussy cut from a pattern paper.

Shabby Chic Fridge Magnet

Hello friends!!!
The current challenge at DCAM is Shabby Chic & I decided to try a mixed media project. It surely is not my style but I am loving this first attempt in true shabby chic style, for which I always had a fancy. Gorgeous projects in soft shabby chic colors with lots of layers & textures adorned with embellies dazzled me & I never gathered the courage to try this beautiful style until now. Here's the altered (wooden) fridge magnet -

Lots of products used in the making of this - gesso, Lindy's  Spray, texture paste, pattern paper, embellishments, pearl strings, blooms, etc. Also created loads of layers & textures with lace, paper, stencils, diecuts, etc.

BEST TEACHER

Hello friends!
Back again after a short absence to share a card I made for my daughters teacher.
To create the BG I made swatches of colors with distress ink on the CS, following which I heat embossed the flowers in clear embossing powder & then covered the entire BG with black soot distress ink. This is the result of the amazing resist technique..........very much alike the crayon resisit technique I used in this card HERE.

Wall Hanging Keepsake

A very happy Sunday morning to all!!
Sharing a very special project with you today-a hanging keepsake. My daughter wanted a gift for her bestie on her sixteenth birthday. I have used a MDF wall hanging from kaisercraft as the base, covered it with pattern paper, MDF embellies & blooms(all handmade from various die cuts). Also done a lot of distressing on this. Sorry about the pic quality but these were all taken at night when I just finished working on it.

Heat embossed  a pretty friendship tag in clear powder.

My daughter wanted to paste pictures of all three of them - so here I have left the space blank.

I have used a lot of colors, die cuts, layering, stamping, distressing, blooms.............& my favorite handmade papers which I have been hoarding for so long!!! I am so glad to use these....finally (hope I am able to do the same with pattern papers, I am just unable to cut those gorgeous beauties)

The first three holders are easel style.

All the others have a provision to hold mini pens.

Also made two cards which you can find here & here.
